Our firm, now known as Curry & Friend, P.L.C., was established by René A. Curry, Jr. in December of 1978 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Our AV rated firm produces high quality legal services on a par with that typically available from larger firms, yet provides the accessibility, responsiveness and efficiency unique to smaller firms. Backed by thirteen dedicated lawyers and three experienced nurse consultants, paralegal, secretarial and office staff, our firm engages primarily in a corporate and insurance defense practice with particular emphasis on litigation and the trial of civil matters in the areas of Healthcare and Medical Malpractice; Contracts; Environmental Law, Class Actions, Oil & Gas, and Toxic Torts and Insurance (Casualty and Premises Liability). We represent clients with interests throughout the State of Louisiana.

We share with our clients a desire to control costs while providing the highest possible legal representation. When appropriate, nurse consultants or paralegals are integrated into a matter to allow lower billing rates for certain types of services. Methods of alternative dispute resolution are also pursued in order to reduce litigation expenses.
